REMAK® XPS

Remak® XPS – the significant breakthrough of technology and vision
XPS foam is a material that has become familiar and popular in the construction industry today. This type of foam is applied for construction of heat insulation, sound insulation, water resistance, waterproofing for civil and industrial works, etc.
However, according to the evaluation of some scientists at VIBM, most XPS products on the market are being manufactured by old technology, using HCFC-22 (traditional gas) as an expansion aid in the production line. In the long run, this substance causes negative effects on the ecosystem, depleting the ozone layer. Meanwhile, Remak® XPS foam board produced by Remak Construction & Furniture Joint Stock Company applied breakthrough advanced technology: using food-grade CO2 instead of HCFC-22. This is a kind of gas with a purity of 99.8% or more, ensuring no dust and impurities harmful to human health.
Some XPS foam samples which are currently popular on the Vietnamese market were collected and tested at VIBM. Remak® XPS ultra-light pink foam is self-produced by Remak. The foam board is made from clean Polystyrene resin imported from Korea and produced on a advanced line using CO2 gas technology for food processing. Along with that is synchronous machinery, modern automatic control system. After the pressing process, the finished product is super light rigid XPS boards with density 28-35-38kg/m3, thickness 25-50mm, size 0.6mx1, 8m.
