In Vietnam’s summer,  the sun directly affects the interior temperature of the house. If there is no timely heat insulation solution, it will have a negative affect on the health and limit your physical activities. Remak® XPS offers a range of thermal insulation solutions for Ceilings and Floors.

Concrete insulation

The roof occupies a large square area in comparison to the building’s whole square area and faces sunlight directly. This is the source of heat to be conducted the most into the house and needed to be taken care of firsthand.

Concrete has durable, hard, and great sound insulation characteristics. However, during summer, concrete houses face heat-related difficulties because concrete absorbs heat more and faster than many other materials. In addition, the thermal radiation speed is slow making the space below hot and stuffy.

According to scientists’ calculations, suitable thermal insulation for the roof can help reduce up to 50% of the heat coming from the outside.

With a closed molecular structure and low thermal conductivity coefficient, advanced Remak® XPS foam helps minimize conduction of heat. Thus, this foam is the perfect thermal solution for concrete roofs, which helps prevent heat from invading. Therefore, the energy cost for cooling is considerably lower.

Floor Insulation

When installed for the ground floor, most of the heat insulation products have to be placed on top of damp proof membrane (DPM) to not absorb water. Afterward, it is essential to have a partition layer above the heat insulation layer to separate it from the concrete floor.

High-tech extruded Remak® XPS is the most unique heat insulation material among all materials at present that can withstand moist environments. It is possible to place them directly on the floor with the DPM layer covered on top (which acts as a partition layer between the heat insulation layer and the concrete floor). This method is both time-saving and material-saving.

Suspended Ceiling Insulation

Suspended board ceiling is not unfamiliar in many constructions with a large square area such as apartments complex, supermarket, station, airport, hall, office… because of its fast installation and simple fixing procedures.

The benefit of a suspended board ceiling is that it is highly aesthetic since it can hide electrical circuit systems, water pipe and a vent pipe… Especially, when working on heat and sound insulation, the panels are concealed.

Of all the materials used to work on heat and sound insulation for suspended board ceilings, extruded advanced Remak® XPS is currently used widely for many reasons:

  • The foam boards have micropore structures so they are super light and help reduce the load for the roof/ceiling. This is the first reason why it becomes the ideal thermal insulation material for suspended board ceilings.

Cold Storage Floor Insulation

Cold storage constructions always have to deal with many challenges in controlling and maintaining a stable temperature, preventing thermal conduction, protecting stored goods, ensuring energy efficiency, and minimizing operating costs. Therefore, thermal conduction and transmission prevention is by far the most essential factor.

Advanced lightweight Remak® XPS is trusted to be used for many specialized constructions, such as: cold storage, cooling storage, food storage, freezer, and pharmaceutical storage, etc because the product fully matches the strict requirements of persevering goods in cold storage:
